Collective energy is what is produced when all the members of a team are engaged. It is, at the very least, the sum of a team’s individual energies. However, when the “collective” is working well, the resulting energy becomes much greater than the sum of individual energies. When all the members of a team are focused on the same shared priority at the same time, when they are happy to cooperate, when they are united and protective of each other, share responsibility with one another, and create a pervading environment of understanding, cooperation and selflessness; that is when collective energy is particularly evident. Collective energy is what fuels collective performance.
